ABOUT TIES

Ties’ photography journey began at an early age with a passion for outdoors and adventure sports. It’s not hard to see why, growing up in Victoria's Macedon Ranges region, there was never any shortage of stunning scenery to shoot or adventure to be had!

His first project was Hayden’s Ride for Epilepsy in 2014. Ties' request to join the media crew granted him an opportunity to work alongside award winning career wildlife and nature cinematographer Mark Lamble. Ties quickly realised that professional photography was the career direction he wanted to take.

Collaborating with established photographers and on community events set Ties up with an extensive portfolio before he had finished high school. Accepted by all 3 universities that he applied for, he eventually choose to head to RMIT.

Shortly after he began his tenure Ties was approached by the RMIT Sport Department and asked to join the media team. His first project was the 2017 Uni Games on the Gold Coast, but it was by no means his last. He spearheaded the team the following year and was also recruited to curate the RMIT Sport Team's advertising campaign.

Sports & action photography is only part of Ties' current portfolio. He has worked with several media groups and on various events over the years including projects for the Macedon Ranges Council, Live4Life Youth Awards and the Midland Express local newspaper.

Ties is currently working on projects within travel, adventure, lifestyle and commercial photography, diversifying his professional portfolio even further.
