AMONGST THE ACTION AND BEHIND THE SCENES
Sports are about stories: the triumphs, the struggles, and the moments in between. From local club matches to multi-day world championship events, and from the sidelines of a football oval to trackside at a Formula 1 Grand Prix, my experience spans a wide range of sports and levels of competition.
I specialise in action shots that capture the energy of a sport and documentary-style photography that showcases personalities, both in the heat of competition and behind the curtain.
Services:
Event coverage: Single-day or multi-day.
Team and individual portraits.
Documentary projects capturing the full story of your event.

SPECIALTIES:
Mountain Bike Photography:
A personal favourite, mountain biking is a sport built on grit, commitment, and terrain that punishes the hesitant. Photographing it well means understanding the course, reading the rider, and being in the right place at the right moment, regardless of what the conditions are doing. It is one of the most technically demanding genres in sports photography, and one I genuinely love.
My experience at the elite level includes the MTB National Championships and the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Cairns, shot on assignment for Cycling Australia. Whether the brief is competition coverage, event documentation, or athlete and brand content, I bring both the technical capability and the track record to deliver.

Motorsport:
Motorsport demands a different kind of focus. The speeds are unforgiving, the access is tightly controlled, and the margin for error is zero. As a Motorsport Australia Accredited Photographer I have worked trackside at two of the world's most prestigious events: the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and the MotoGP Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island. That accreditation, and the experience that comes with it, sets the work apart.
Beyond the action, Motorsport is rich with story: the mechanics, the strategy, the atmosphere in the pit lane, and the human drama that plays out across an entire race weekend. I cover all of it. Available for race day coverage, commercial and promotional work, editorial assignments, and multi-day event projects.
Snow Sports:
Snow sports photography is as much about movement as it is about light. Getting the shot that matters means being able to ski or board to it, read the mountain, and work confidently in conditions that most photographers prefer to watch from inside. My background as a skier means I can access terrain and angles that change the images completely.
Whether the brief is competitive event coverage, resort and destination campaigns, or editorial work that captures the culture of a snow season rather than just the runs, I am comfortable working across all of it. The kit travels well and so do I.

General Sports:
The brief I am most often handed is: capture the energy of today. That might be a local footy club on a muddy Saturday morning, a national basketball competition, a community cycling event, or a school athletics carnival. Every level of sport has moments worth keeping, and I approach each one with the same preparation and care.
Past work spans a wide range of codes and scales, from RMIT Uni Games and Champions League Basketball through to local club sport across the Macedon Ranges and regional Victoria. If it is played on a field, court, track, or in the water, I have likely shot something close to it. Get in touch and we can work out what the job needs.
